Gary Cole is a second generation pest control operator (PCO).
His parents owned and operated a pest control company in Cape Coral, Florida. Cole started working there as soon as he was able to work. He learned the service business from the ground up. After attending the University of Florida, Cole returned to his hometown and continued his development as a PCO.
During this time, Cole was active in serving the Florida Pest Control Association. He served on or chaired numerous committees including legislative, public relations, and education. He served on the Executive Committee for 4 years, culminating in his Presidency from 90-91. At the time, Florida was the second largest state association in the country. Cole was the youngest person to serve as President of this prestigious industry association.
In 1990, he was pursued and recruited by a large national pest control company. Upon joining them he managed numerous individual offices and was eventually promoted to SW Florida District Manager and over saw the operations of 9 offices.
After the tragedy of Sept 11, 2001, Cole stepped back and re-evaluated his future in the industry. Wanting to stay closer to home with his young children and gorgeous wife, he decided to return to his roots in the business. On January 2, 2002, with zero clients but great ambition, Cole began his quest to build a pest control company built on a single core principle: Treat the clients the way he wanted to be treated by service companies. Simply put, do the right thing for the client.
Cole has been married to Robin for 25 plus years and they have two beautiful daughters, Alexa and Madeline. He would love to be able to work side by side with his daughters in the future. His hobbies and interests are ever changing, but currently include fountain pens, mechanical watches and studying the history of The Masters golf tournament.
